I love Pinterest for about 10 million reasons: It's like a bookmarks bar that will never disappear or be deleted during a reformat, you can share the stuff you've done and discovered with others, you can find a ton of projects to do and inspire you, and people find tons of projects that inspire them. One local mother found a project of this nature on Pinterest of children wearing their mother's wedding dress. She asked if I would be up for capturing this with her daughter and of course I was :). We met up with her Kindergartener and we had her sit down and started adjusting the dress and getting the veil in her hair. About 2 minutes passed when she says "are we done yet?". A wave of terror came over me: we hadn't even started! haha. BUT luckily it went very well, we all had fun, and Mom said that the photos were exactly what she was hoping for, which couldn't be a bigger compliment.
We used the dress as the backdrop to replicate a photo her mom had taken on her wedding day.
She started crawling at me.. so fun!
See? She had fun :).
We had her make a grumpy face, it worked!
We asked her where she'd like to take photos and she wanted to by the windows.. she made a great choice!
We did about 2 minutes outside for some outdoor photos.
Another grumpy face! And the adorable expression that follows:
She knows she's goofy! :).
Spent about 2 minutes outside then wrapped her up and brought her back inside :).
M is fun and adorable and I think one of these photos should be printed large and put up at her wedding! Maybe she will even wear the same dress (or maybe not.. you know how kids are, haha). :).
