Caleb 1

Now that I've had some time to process and adjust, I want to take a moment to update my pages with a little bit of personal information.  A few weeks ago, my 6-year-old son, Caleb, was diagnosed with leukemia.  I generally keep my private and business life separate, but I wanted to both apologize to and thank my amazing clients who have been incredibly understanding and patient with me, and explain some (minor) tweaks I'll be making to my business structure.

Caleb's treatment plan will be three years of chemotherapy and medicines.  I plan to keep on doing photography during this time, however I will be making a few adjustments to how I handle sessions, including taking fewer sessions, and extending the time it may take to get the images back.. I will update my website to reflect the changes with more exact information once I figure everything out.

I want to take this opportunity to post some photos of him (and his siblings/family).  This is also kind of fun to see my photos through the years.. when my boys were born, I knew nothing about photography.  It was through taking photos of them that I started becoming interested in photography.  I need to split the blog post into 2 parts otherwise the blog is considered too big.  (See Part 2 here).

Anyway, we appreciate all thoughts and prayers sent our way during this time, that the cancer goes into remission and stays there, and that he has minimal side effects from the medicines/drugs.  Thank you for all the support and love, Duluth/Hermantown-area!  <3.

p.s.  Due to getting "backed up" you will be seeing some photos taken in the last month popping up a little late on my Facebook page and blog!  I have a lot of sessions I am excited to get up-to-date with.. stay tuned!

The file size is too big to post all of them here...  ^This is Christmas 2012.. we still have 2 more years to go through!  :).
